<p>A sleeping bag (10) has a sleeping chamber (22) with a lateral zip-fastener (14), and a hood (15) which is connected releasably to the sleeping chamber by a hook/looped pile fastener (23) extending in the region of the upper edge. The fastener (23) runs around the sleeping chamber (22) at a predetermined spacing (29) from the upper edge (25) thereby forming a neck frill (21).
