PURPOSE:To provide an ink composition for thermal transfer recording which is excellent in heat sensitivity by improving mechanism strength of an ink layer before transfer without causing 'Tomoochi phenomenon', so called, wherein a portion of a non-image area is transferred. CONSTITUTION:An ink composition for thermal transfer recording has a thermal plastic resin particle, a wax particle, a color agent and liquid humectant as main components. Herein, instead of the thermal plastic resin particle and the wax particle, solid solution particle containing those thermal plastic resin and wax may be used. |
