PURPOSE:To transfer a signal without the need for wiring between equipment and without any remodeling of existing AV equipment, to facilitate the arrangement and to facilitate the arrangement and the extension of the equipment by applying optical spatial transmission to a control signal and relaying an audio signal and a video signal among input and output signals and interconnecting the audio video equipment. CONSTITUTION:The user selects a VTR by using a control switch 4. In this case, a control signal is outputted to an optical transmittor section 13 from the switch 4, in which the signal is converted into an optical signal and it is sent therefrom. The control signal is received by the existing remote control light receiver section of the VTR and its power is turned on. When a TV receiver is selected by using the switch 4, similarly the power is turned on. A video signal reproduced by the VTR is sent from an optical transmittor section 1 and an optical receiver section 23 receives the signal, it is converted into an electric signal and sent to an optical transmittor section 13. The transmittor section 13 converts the signal into an optical signal again and it is sent. The optical signal is received and demodulated by an optical receiver section 22 and inputted to the TV receiver, in which the signal is viewed. Thus, complicated wiring between equipment is avoided without remodeling the existing AV equipment and the method copes flexibly with the arrangement and the extension of the equipment. |
