A ring-twisting mechanism for a textile machine comprises a spindle (2), two annular guiding elements (2, 3) which are arranged so as to provide for an annular gap (4) coaxial to the spindle (1) and are mounted with the possibility of their reciprocating motion along the axis of the spindle (1). The mechanism further comprises a traveller (6) mounted in the annular gap (4) with the possibility of moving along it and rotation about its own axis. The thread guide is provided in the body of the traveller (6) in the form of a through opening (7) whose axis is parallel to the axis of rotation of the traveller (6). The annular guiding element (3) is rigidly and directly secured to the ring holder (5), whereas the guiding element (2) by means of detachable links (8). The ring-twisting mechanism is particularly intended for twisting of glass fibre, cord, as well as for twisting and spinning of woollen and flax threads. |
