Cover for open end of tubular section for furniture - fits in undercut groove formed in open end of section

The tubular section is esp. used for making furniture. It has its open end sealed with a cap which is made from material which is identical to the material of the tube. The edge of the open end of the section is undercut and a sheet metal cover (3) s made which fits into the undercut groove. The cover is then plastically deformed so that it is permanently attached to the tubular section. A screwed stud (8) welded to the inside surface of the cover is used to support the cover while it is being anodised. USE/ADVANTAGE - End cover for tubular sections used in furniture. The cover is easily fitted.
