<p>PURPOSE:To provide a proper sheet feed interval with a simple construction by eliminating the vertical movement of a pick up roller to secure it and starting the rotation of the pick up roller by a one-way clutch upon the the start of rotation of a feed shaft. CONSTITUTION:A roller shaft 14 is provided traversing the sheet feed direction and in parallel with the surface of a recording sheet 13 mounted on a cassette 12 at a constant height. Accordingly, the recording sheets 13 abut against a pick up roller 15, so that the height of the roller shaft can be easily determined. A feed shaft 21 is driven keeping time with a sheet feed timing by a driving source 20. On the feed shaft 21 are supported a feed gear 22 with a one-way clutch 22A and a feed roller 23. The driving source 20 drives and rotates the roller 15 and the roller 23 through an idler gear 24 meshing with the gear 22 during driving and a pick up gear 15A. Accordingly, when the rear end of the recording sheet 13 passes the roller 15, the roller 15 is not rotated until the driving of the feed shaft 21 is started. Thus, a proper sheet feed interval is formed between the preceding recording sheet 13 and a succeeding recording sheet.</p> |
