<p>Method and apparatus for generating ozone from gaseous oxygen, wherein oxygen gas or other gas containing oxygen is passed along a tortuous path provided by an electrode body (5) to which an electric current is applied. In the described embodiment, tortuous gas paths are provided by electrically conductive granules (5) provided in an electrically insulated housing (2) with an inlet (3) for the gas and an outlet (4) for the gas containing generated ozone.
