PURPOSE:To obtain the reproducing image of a high quality whose image does not get out of shape, even if an outline of image data having the part of one dot width is extracted, compressed, and thereafter, enlarged and reproduced. CONSTITUTION:With respect to image data on a bit map memory 101, by an image converting means 102, an image shifted by one dot in the positive direction of the X axis, an image shifted by one dot in the positive direction of the Y axis, and an image shifted by one dot in the positive direction of the X axis, and also, by one dot in the positive direction of the Y axis are superposed together with its original image and written in the memory. In an outline extracting means 103, said memory is subjected to raster scan and an outline is tracked, and it is stored as a coordinate value array in an outline coordinate storage means 104. |
