The load current detector energises a load current limiter and an output voltage detector. The load current is convertible into a secondary current, proportional to the load current, by a current converter (9). A diode (15) for level shifting is fitted for generating a current proportional to the output voltage. The current generating diode is coupled to a mirror diode (18), and comprises a coupling to a transistor (10) feeding an evaluator circuit. The current generating diode is pref. a transistor, short circuited in the region of its base and collector terminals. The short circuited transistor is coupled to the supply voltage terminal (2) via a resistor (14), providing preadjustment current. USE/ADVANTAGE - Voltage control, with reduced lossy output.
