摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To shorten crane operation time, i.e., entry/delivery time, by providing proximity sensors for detecting the passage of a stacker crane at plural places, a control device for stopping the crane at a sensor which is nearest to a selected delivery shelf, and a position correcting means. CONSTITUTION:Around the center of a warehouse is provided a proximity sensor, such as limit switch, where the position of a crane is corrected, and also the crane is made stand by. A host computer 2 reads an entry file 11 and a delivery file 12, judges whether the next operation is entry or delivery and, if it is delivery, decides an delivery shelf from a stock file 13. Then the host computer 2 judges whether the area of delivery is A, B, C or D and, if it is A, B or C area, calculates from the address of the delivery shelf whether the nearest home position is 1 or 2, and makes the stacker crane stand by at the nearest home position. In this manner, the standby location of the stacker crane at the time of delivery is selected at the nearest home position.</p>
