PURPOSE:To provide a highly reliable novel recording head reduced in running cost and having both of the characteristics of an ink jet system and those of a thermal transfer system in a noncontact and non-impact type recording apparatus for direct recording adapted to a printer or a facsimile. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 1 is constituted so as to have at least a pair of a sublimable coloring material exclusive jet mechanism 2 and a white ink exclusive jet mechanism 3 thereon. The jet mechanism 2 receives a sublimable solid colorant and the coloring material is heated by the heating resistance element of a coloring material heating source and sublimed to be injected from a coloring material nozzle 13. The jet mechanism 3 receives white ink and, by operating pressure generating source such as a piezoelectric element, white ink 5 is injected from a white ink nozzle 9 so as to collide with the coloring material 4 injected from the jet mechanism 2 on this side of a recording medium. |
