The pivot pins 2 of a universal joint are sealed by a first packing-ring 5 mounted in a holding-ring 6 and having two lips 5a, 5b engaging a conical portion 2a of the pin and a second packing-ring 7 mounted on the pin. The ring 6 engages a groove in the joint casing 4 and the packing-ring 7 is fixed on a cylindrical part 2b of the pin and has two lips 7a, 7b which bear against the ring 6.</p> |
