PURPOSE:To provide an embroidering yarn which comprises a core part consisting of elastic fibers produced from a polyether.polyester block copolymer, a covering part consisting of non-elastic fibers, and dissolvable fibers for holding down elasticity, and which gives an elastic embroidered fabric by removing the dissolvable fibers after embroidered. CONSTITUTION:(A) Elastic fibers not subjected to a thermal treatment and each having a multi-lobar cross section as a core part, (B) non-elastic fibers such as cation-dyeable polyester fibers as a covering part, and (C) dissolvable fibers such as water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol fibers as a part of the core or the covering part are conjugately spun to form an embroidering yarn which permits to stop the elasticity thereof with the dissolvable fibers on an embroidering work and to give an elastic embroidered fabric by the removal of the dissolvable fibers after the embroidering work. The elastic fibers A are produced by melt-spinning a polyether.polyester block copolymer comprising a polybutylene terephthalate polyester as a hard segment and a polyoxyethylene glycol polyether as a soft segment. |
