PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized code converting device which is excellent in easiness. CONSTITUTION:When an NRZ code is inputted, the 1st and 2nd logic circuits respectively share the '0' and '1' conversion of an FM0 code and the 3rd logic circuit obtains the FM0 code by EXNORing the converted '0' and '1'. Then the 5th and 6th logic circuit respectively share the '1' and '0' conversion of an FM1 code and the 7th logic circuit obtains the FM1 code. When the FM0 or FM1 code is inputted, the 1st position detecting means 121 latches the FM1 code at the 1/4 position of its bit cell and the 2nd position detecting means 122 latches the FM0 code at the 3/4 position of its bit cell. The 4th logic circuit 123 obtains the NRZ code by NORing the exclusive OR of the outputs and latching the outputs at a bit cell changing point. |
