PURPOSE:To judge whether three acceleration sensors for detecting the accelerations of a moving body in forward, rearward, left and right directions are normally operated. CONSTITUTION:A detection abnormality judging apparatus is adapted to an acceleration detector having acceleration sensors 18, 20, 22 arranged so that two directions are spaced apart at an equal angle alpha from one direction and detecting accelerations G1, G2, G3 in three directions. In first constitution, alphais 120 deg. and, when the absolute value of the sum total Gt of G1-G3 exceeds a threshold value G0, it is judged that any one of the sensors is abnormal. In second constitution, predetermined operation is performed when a moving body is in a straight advance state to judge the abnormal sensor. |
