Stillage comprises sheet made up of boards and blocks on the underside of the sheet set at intervals to act as feet, the blocks made of a thermosetting binder mixed with other materials. These materials are fibres or stalks with a waxy surface layer; and binder used is a polyester resin and is superficially bonded to the wax. Pref. three blocks have flat sheet on each side of them. Blocks used are made of a dense mixt. of fibres which overlap and attach to each other, with polyester binder. The blocks are produced by hot pressing the mixed material between vertical side tools and pref. at about 72 deg.C. Or material can include cold-setting resin system with a cobalt cpd. catalyst and accelerator and be pressed at room temp. ADVANTAGE - High abrasion resistance
