PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer medium and production thereof having superior properties of receiving an image of thermal transfer ink, resistance to chemicals, wear resistance, and suitability for ticket paper and cards having interpolation preventive properties. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer medium and production thereof provided with a printing processing layer made of ink containing at least one of polyester resins or epoxy resins and at least one of polybutyral resins and polyacetal resins by a gravure printing method when an ink image receiving layer is provided on a substrate and thereon the printing processing layer is provided. |
