MOLDABLE COMPOSITE PANEL AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To obtain a composite panel which is moldable at relatively low temperatures and has heat and sound insulating properties as well as noise absorbing properties. CONSTITUTION: The composite panel has a corrugated core 12 with two surfaces respectively formed at the opposite sides. The corrugated core 12 is preferably a dual arched corrugated core or corrugated metal foil comprising two members 12a, 12b. The surface in one side of the corrugated core 12 is covered with as a linerboard 14 which is coupled to the core 12 through a thermoplastic adhesive 16. The surface in the opposite side of the corrugated core 12 is covered with a thermoformable foam layer 18 which is attached to the core 12 by a heat activatable adhesive 20.
