<p>PURPOSE:To reduce processing time with simple arithmetic processing independently of a thinning rate and to reproduce a pin hole and a thin line or the like with fidelity. CONSTITUTION:Thinning processing is applied to a 1st picture in which plural picture elements are provided longitudinally and laterally and each picture element includes a color data and a 1st picture is converted into a 2nd picture with lower density and the processor is provided with a block split section 12, a reference data genetrating section 13 and a convertion data decision section 14. The block split section 12 splits the 1st picture into a block comprising plural picture elemetns in response to the thinning rate. A reference data generating section 13 discriminates whether or not a conversion data is decided from the color data of the picture element included in the block for each split block and in response to the result of discrimination, a reference data is generated for each block. The conversion data decision section 14 decides the conversion data of a conversion object block based on the reference data of the block in the vicinity of the block of conversion object when it is discriminated that the conversion data cannot be decided.</p> |
