PURPOSE:To provide the color identifying method which can easily identify colors in a short time and can be practically used for a production line or a check line. CONSTITUTION:The luminance of an RGB component contained in the mark colors of defect marks M1-M3 is set beforehand as a judgement threshold value for binarizing the RGB component of image data, and the respective component of R, G and B in the image data of image signals supplied from a color camera are binarized by the respective judgement threshold values for the RGB components of the respective mark colors as mentioned above. Then, three pairs of binary data for the respective mark colors obtained as the result are ANDed and based on the AND, the respective mark colors are identified. |
