The device has a slide body with a coupling unit for a mast base holder, and a tack with a longitudinally displaceable slide body. A positioner has a locking device with positioned elements. It is moved between a locking position and a release position. A catch device (58) is located between slide body (36) and surfboard (2). The catch is activated in release position of the positioner (41). It limits a movement of the slide body to a distance (45) between two neighbouring positioner elements (46). This distance is smaller than the complete movement path (31) of the slide body in the track (34, 35). ADVANTAGE - Quick secure adjustment of mast base holder while board is in use.
