PURPOSE:To remove the pincushion distortion on the picture by increasing the ratio of sigmoid correcting current to sawtooth current occupied in correcting and polarizing current in more center part of the picture and decreas ing the ratio in upper end part or lower end part in the picture. CONSTITUTION:The ratio of sigmoid correcting current to sawtooth current occupied in correcting and polarizing current is increased in more toward center of the picture (h=0) and is decreased in upper end of the picture (3r/4) or lower end of the picture (-3r/4). Thus, the unremovable pincushion distortion can be effectively corrected by superposing the fixed ratio of the sigmoid correcting current regardless of the conventional center of the picture (h=0) and the upper end of the picture (3r/4) or the lower end of the picture (-3r/4). |
