PURPOSE:To extend traveling distance per single charging operation and to facilitate accelerator operation at the time of constant speed traveling. CONSTITUTION:The motor vehicle controller comprises a control section 1 performing duty control of conduction voltage of the armature coil 5 in a DC shunt motor 4 in response to an acceleration signal wherein the control section 1 is provided with a switch 3 for switching the control mode between economy mode and power mode. Men the economy mode is set, vehicle speed is calculated based on an output from a vehicle speed sensor 8 and the correlation control characteristics between field current and armature current of the DC shunt motor 4 are switched to those for economy mode in which the armature current value equals to the current value over the entire region of the armature coil 5 corresponding to the calculated speed. |
