NEGATIVE SILVER SALT DIFFUSION TRANSFER MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To provide a simple method which forms a negative image having high quality from a positive original picture by using a silver salt diffusion transfer reversal method and eliminates fogging in the non-formed part of the image and an element for the image for this purpose. CONSTITUTION: (1) An image forming material including photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers contg. silver halide particles having an average capacity of <=0.02μm<3> and layers contg. nonphotosensitive water-insoluble silver salts on a base is exposed according to the images to form a latent image in the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers described above. (2) The latent image is developed to form the physical development nuclei. (3) The nonphotosensitive silver salts are dissolved by using a silver salt complexing agent. (4) The silver salt complex formed in such a manner is diffused into the layer containing the physical development nuclei formed according to the image of the silver, and the development is executed by adhering the silver salt complex according to the image in the presence of a developing agent.
