Biological process for the treatment of gas, in which the gas is treated with the aid of a biofilter comprising wet sludges of a sewage purification plant, and biofilters consisting of wet sludges of sewage purification plants. The biofilters according to the invention do not require any adaptation period and permit the treatment of organic or inorganic odours.
