PURPOSE:To improve the travelling performance on ice in a heavy duty radial tire having plural block rows each of which consists of blocks provided with siping by specifying respective negative ratios of a tire mounted on a non-driving shaft and a tire mounted on a driving shaft, and setting the negative ratio of the tire mounted on the non-driving shaft smaller. CONSTITUTION:Block rows 1-4 consisting of locks 1a-4a are formed on the tread, and the respective blocks 1a-4a are provided with sipings 5-8. The negative ratio NF of a tire mounted on a non-driving shaft is set as: 0.18<=NF<=(0.88-1.8ND). The negative ratio ND of a tire mounted on a driving shaft is then set as: 0.32<=ND<=0.38.
