The present invention relates to a method of improving the elution yield of a radioisotope generator by supplying air to the eluent reservoir thereof during elution of the generator, which air has a minimized alcohol content. The invention further relates to a radioisotope generator comprising filter means suitable for reducing the alcohol content of said air to be supplied.
