<p>A processing apparatus applicable to sequencers and process controllers includes a backup system. A master and slave CPUs have individual memory units. Data in the master's memory unit is transferred to the slave's memory unit on completion of a task by the master CPU, so that the data stored in the slave's memory unit is used when the slave CPU takes control. Even if the master CPU falls disorderly, data which has been transferred to the slave's memory unit is not destroyed, and the operation is surely supported by the backup system. <IMAGE></p> |
