A cooking device using concentrated thermal radiation directly inside the recipient holding the foodstuffs comprises a thermal radiation generator incorporating halogen lamps (1). The said generator concentrates the radiation in the recipient (5) holding the foodstuffs. A lid (4), preferably vitroceramic, is placed between the recipient (5) and the generator, the latter incorporating halogen lamps (1), a reflector (3) and a casing (2) fitted with a regulator (11). The casing is closed by a glass plate (8), preferably vitroceramic. A plate (20) is placed at the desired height inside the recipient (5). A liquid can be placed in the bottom of the recipient to provide for cooking in a moist atmosphere. The recipient can be placed in an oven or in a possibly pivoting support. |
