PURPOSE:To improve the operation performance according to the traveling state by installing a drive/manual selecting means which is temporarily selected to a manual state and sends a compulsory shift signal to a shift instruction means, when the compulsory shift signal is transmitted from a compulsory shift judging means in a drive range state. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary switch 21 is set to HOLD H, a drive/manual selecting means 9 is selected to a manual range side, and the gear stage at present is maintained, and a compulsory shift judging means 8 is put into operation-enabled state. When a manual operation lever 22 is turned forward, a compulsory shift-up switch 25 is turned ON, and the compulsory shift judging means 8 outputs an output signal for compulsory shift-up. The signal is inputted into a shift instruction means 7, and forcibly shifted up by one step front the gear stage at present. The manual operation lever 22 returns to an original position by a return spring when a hand is released, and the gear stage after speed change is maintained. Further, when the operating lever 22 is turned rearward, shift-down is carried out. |
