PURPOSE:To optionally set a mass number range to be measured with a mass spectrometer and a mass number in the mass number range by a user, and making the coexistence of stable mass spectrometry and the shortening of a measuring time for the stable mass spectrometry. CONSTITUTION:A mass number is optionally set with a personal computer 32, and mass spectrometry conditions (mass number range, mass number, scan block, step waiting time, and scan block waiting time) are edited with a CPU 30 to be memorized in a scan memory 19 via a sleeve CPU 21. The step waiting time and the scan block waiting time are automatically variable-adjusted according to voltage differences between mass spectrometry steps and between scan blocks with the CPU 30. The step voltage of a scan electrode 8 of a mass spectrometry part 6 is scanned according to a set mass number, and passing ions are detected every mass number with a detector 9. A detected value is taken in by opening a gate 12 after the above waiting timed. |
