PURPOSE:To prevent speckle by converting a picture element data being a component of an original picture data into a data of a coordinate system of a color expression space, dividing the space, counting the frequency of each divided space, extracting a dense space and allocating an output fixed color to the space so as to distinguish the color. CONSTITUTION:Each picture element data being a component of an original color picture data is converted into a data of a coordinate system of a color expression space by a coordinate conversion process, the converted space is divided into partial spaces, the frequency of each partial space is counted and a picture element density space with a higher frequency than the prescribed density is extracted. An output fixed color is allocated to each dense space extracted by the extract process and each picture element data being component of the original color picture data is converted into the output fixed color allocated precedingly. Thus, different colors in the original color picture data are distinguished as different and the same color is uniformly converted without causing speckle. |
