SEAT CONTROL METHOD AND SEAT CONTROL DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable the free passage of a passenger through a passenger room and to cause only a passenger having a given reserved-seat ticket to take a seat. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of seats located in a passenger room and marked by different numbers are brought into a state non-suitable for sitting at an ordinary period (SA1). Data specifying a seat is stored and a reserved-seat ticket is sold to a user (SA2). The user rides in a train and causes the train side to read data stored in the reserved-seat ticket (SA3). When data is read on the train side, a seat corresponding to the reserved-seat ticket data of which is read is selected (SA4). Only the selected seal is transferred to a state suitable for seating (SA5).
