摘要 PURPOSE:To correct the measured value to sensitivity obtaining a peak value measured with almost constant sensitivity of an ultrasonic measuring apparatus by detecting the peak value of the bottom surface echo of a member having a semicircular cross-section obtained corresponding to a plurality of piezoelectric elements to compare the same with a reference value and setting the ratio or inverse ratio of both values to a correction factor. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic image flaw detection apparatus 20 is equipped with an arc array probe 1, an ultrasonic flaw detection part 2, an image processor 10 and a CRT display 16. Ultrasonic flaw detection is performed by the probe 1 having a plurality of piezoelectric elements and the peak values of the bottom surface echoes of a member having a semi-circular cross-section obtained corresponding to the respective piezoelectric elements are detected. These values are compared with a predetermined reference value and the ratios or inverse ratios of both values are set to correction factors and these correction factors are stored corresponding to the respective piezoelectric elements. Next, an object 17 to be inspected is subjected to flaw detection to obtain the peak values corresponding to the respective piezoelectric elements and these peak values are corrected on the basis of the corresponding correction factors to exclude the effect of the difference of sensitivity characteristics and accurate peak values of constant sensitivity same as those at the time of measurement can be obtained.
