PRODUCTION OF BICYCLOHEXYLDIOL

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a method for obtaining bicyclohexyldiol in high purity and yield by hydrogenating biphenyldiol. CONSTITUTION:Biphenyldiol is hydrogenated to produce bicyclohexyldiol. In the process, one or two or more solvents of <=7C glycol monoalkyl ethers such as diethylene glycol monomethyl ether or propylene glycol monomethyl ether are used. After completing the reaction, an ultrahigh-purity product is obtained according to simple operation such as filtration of the reaction mixture and evaporation of the solvent.
