A method of obtaining water resistant, gypsum-derivative aggregates and other construction materials, characterized in that for preparation of material grout, preferably containing phosphogypsum or gypsum, fly-ash and/or furnace slag, and also burnt lime or slaked lime, the following components are used: 0.2-5.0 percent of coumarone-indene resin, preferably in a solvent volatile in steam, and 0.1-5.0 percent of chalating polymer, preferably polyvinyl alcohol, amino- or amide-formaldehyde resins or possibly their bisulfite esters, and also derivatives of cellulose or lignin. The whole is mixed until emulsion is obtained, and further it is subjected to steam distillation until the material is formed.
