PURPOSE:To enable the title device to smoothly and accurately exert its traveling object navigating function when the traveling object runs along a highway at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:When the start signal and car speed signal of a constant-speed running device 10 are inputted, a position detection collating section 3 corrects the current position of its own vehicle detected while the vehicle runs along an ordinary road by reading out the route data of a highway from a map data storing section 9 and outputs the corrected current position data to a data processing section 7. The section 7 displays the correct data on a displaying section 8 by superimposing the data upon map data read out from the storing section 9 so as to navigate its own vehicle along the currently passing road. Thus the position of its own vehicle along a highway is displayed in a collated way when the vehicle runs along the highway. |
