The memory system is for processing image by calculating address of pixels using 8-direction concept, and block, column, row and diagonal unit. The memory unit includes a coordinate converting unit (2) for converting moving pattern of block, row, column, diagonal, and eight direction to a coordinate of pixel using reference coordinate, an address calculator (3) for calculating address difference according to the moving pattern and converted coordinate, an address aligner (4) for re-arranging the calculated address according to the moving pattern, a module selector (6) for selecting memory module, and a data register (8) for storing data of a memory module unit (5) and the address aligner (4).
