POLYFLUORINATED AMINOALCOHOLS AND THEIR ESTERS, PREPARATION OF THESE COMPOUNDS AND THEIR USE AS ADDITIVES FOR LUBRICANTS

The invention relates to new polyfluorinated compounds which are usable as anti-wear additives for lubricants. These compounds are of general formula: (III) in which RF is a perfluoroalkyl radical, R1 and R3 each denote a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical, R2 and R4 each denote a hydrogen atom or an acyl residue, m equals 0 or 1 and X denotes a hydrogen atom or a 2-hydroxy-1-phenylethyl group. They are prepared by hydrogenation of amino alcohols of formula: RF-CF=CH-CH2-NH-CH2CH(R1)-OH followed, where appropriate, by a reaction with an epoxide and/or an esterification.
