PURPOSE:To reduce turbulence in quality of recording image caused by defective surface smoothness of a dye accepting layer and improve sensibility of image receiving sheet by providing the image receiving sheet for the use of color printers consisting of a base material and a dye accepting layer arranged on the base material. CONSTITUTION:As the surface roughness of a dye accepting layer 3, the center line average height (Ra) is made to be 0.3mum or less and the maximum height (Rmax) is made to be 5mum or less. Between the dye accepting layer 3 and a base material 1, a smooth surface macromolecular layer having the surface roughness with the center line average height (Ra) of 0.3mum or less and the maximum height (Rmax) of 5mum or less is formed by coating.
