发明名称 PRODUCTION OF OPTICALLY ACTIVE GLYCEROL DERIVATIVE
摘要 PURPOSE:To massively produce the subject compound useful as an intermediate for drugs, agricultural chemicals, etc., in a high yield at a low cost by reducing a dihydroxyacetone derivative with an enzyme having a stereospecifically reducibility in an aqueous solvent. CONSTITUTION:A 1,3-dihydroxyacetone derivative of formula I (R is phenyl, phenyl substituted with a lower alkyl group, etc.,) is reduced with an enzyme having a stereospecifically reducibility (preferably dry yeast) in an aqueous solvent to produce the objective compound of formula II. The reaction is performed preferably at a temperature of 20-40 deg.C. The compound of formula I includes 1-hydroxy-3-phenylsulfonyloxy-2-propanone, and is obtained e.g. by reacting 1,3-dihydroxyacetone with a compound of a formula RSO2Cl in the presence of a basic compound such as an amine.
