PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and size of the 3-phase reactor by determining the width of an iron core to an optimum size from the magnetic flux distribution in an upper and lower iron cores, side iron cores and an interphases iron core. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower iron core 4 and 5 are disposed between the upper part and the lower part of windings 1-3, and side iron core 6 and interphase iron core 7 are provided between the upper iron core 4 and the lower iron core 5. When the internal magnetic flux density of the side iron cire 6 is represented by Bs, the internal magnetic flux density of the interphase iron core 7 is represented by Bc, the internal mangetic flux density of the upper and lower iron cores 4 and 5 are represented by Bu, and the air gap of the coupling part is represented by DELTAl, when the DELTAl is a certain value, the ratios Bs/Bu and Bc/Bu become a constant value 0.2. When the DELTAl=0, Bs/Bu=0.75 and Bc/Bu=0.55. Accordingly, the windth H of the iron cores 4 and 5, the width W of the side iron core 6 and the width L of the interphase iron core 7 are set to H>W>=L to meet the length of the air gap DELTAl, and W/H=0.2-0.75 and L/H=0.2-0.55, and the width of the iron cores are thus determined. According to this configuration, the weight and the size of the iron core can be reduced. |
