PURPOSE:To obtain the multiplexing device for an asynchronous transfer mode which utilizes a time division multiplex(TDM) bust and also, whose hardware configuration is comparatively concise. CONSTITUTION:A multiplexing device 400 is constituted of two systems of terminal interfaces 144, 145, two systems of cell processing parts 142, 143, a cell multiple part 170, and a unit of a circuit interface 174, and data is given and received between each of them through a TDM bus 100. A flag output circuit 120 provided on the multiple part 170 outputs a flag to a prescribed time slot, and it becomes a reference of the frame number. A memory 172 has the capacity of a one-piece portion of a cell, and by reading out and storing successively effective data in the time slot allocated between the processing parts 142, 143, and also, outputting it to the interface 174 through the TDM bus 100, label multiplexing is executed. In such a way, in an up-data multiplexing means, a memory of a one-piece portion of the cell is enough, therefore, the hardware of a concise constitution can be obtained.
