PURPOSE:To provide a direct electrostatic recording device of a compact construction at a low cost, wherein only one aperture is provided and a function is provided to enable a user to adjust the quality of picture according to his desire. CONSTITUTION:A counter electrode 2 is provided faced with an aperture electrode 16. In the electrode 2, variable power source 4 is provided to form toner trajectly electric field between the electrode 16 and the electrode 2. By controlling the voltage applied to the electrode 2 by means of the power source 4 to change the toner electric field E, print dot diameters can be freely changed. Qualities of print output can be changed by the dot diameters which are printed and when the dot diameters are large, soft picture qualities can be provided and when said diameters are small, hard ones are provided. |
