The invention provides a method for shaping an artificial edible decoration product which is intended to be served together with a drink. In accordance with the invention, it is proposed, among other things, that the product is shaped with the aid of a tool that has a forwardly projecting engagement-end (54) which functions to produce a slot or recess (26) in one side of the product. This slot or recess has a thickness and a depth such as to enable the product (24) to be straddled over the rim of a drink-containing vessel so as to seat firmly on the rim. The invention also relates to a product produced in accordance with the method. |
