CONSTITUTION:A couple of positioning plates 12A and 12B which have V-shaped grooves 15 are fixed to a housing 11 in parallel while the V-shaped grooves 15 face each other and a ferrule 2 is fitted to a half as long as the V-shaped grooves 15 in the length direction to clamp a fixed-side ferrule group 4; and A movable-side ferrule group 5 is arranged between the remaining half V-shaped grooves 15 and a presser member 13 which is moved in the opposite directions of the positioning plates 12A and 12B by a switching mechanism 14 while respective ferrules 1 and 2 in the movable-side ferrule group 5 are held collectively is provided between the housing 1 and movable-side ferrule group 5. Then the respective ferrules 1 and 2 in the respective stages of the fixed-side ferrule group 4 and the movable-side ferrule group 5 are positioned by the V-shaped grooves 15 and mutual optical fibers 3 can be connected.
