摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent image quality at a first copying after power is turned on by forming a reference potential part (patch) on a photosensitive material when power is turned on and supplying toner only for a time calculated based on the optical density of the patch. CONSTITUTION:When power is turned on, firstly, the gain of an ADC senser 31 is adjusted by executing an AGC. Then, the photosensitive material 20 is irradiated with light by an ISIL 22, a dark potential part is formed in a prescribed region and the patch is formed by exposing this region with reflected light from a reference reflecting plate 2. This patch is developed with the toner by a developing device 23 or 25 and the image density is detected optically by the ADC senser 31. The detected image density is read and the ratio of the reflected light quantity of a patch part to the reflected light quantity of a clean face is calculated by a controller 30. Then, the on time of a toner dispense motor 33 or 34 is calculated based on this ratio and an ADC control to supply the toner only by the time is executed.
