PURPOSE: To eliminate mis-supply caused by contact with a blade during wire supply. CONSTITUTION: Inline type lead manufacturing equipment has a wire transfer mechanism 18 which transfers the front end of a wire supplied from an endless supply source to a termination device 28 from the vicinity of a wire cutting and cover cutting blade assembly 21. The wire is returned again to the vicinity of the wire cutting and cover cutting blade assembly 21 from the termination device 28, and the wire is supplied from the supply source, then cut to obtain a lead 2. In the process transferring the wire from the termination device 28 to the vicinity of the wire cutting and cover cutting blade assembly 21, the transfer mechanism 18 is rotated so as to face upward, and during moving of the transfer mechanism 18, wire supply is started. The wire is sent to the upper part of the blades without sending to between the wire cutting and insulating cover cutting blades, and a wire supply step starts at the point of time earlier than the conventional cycle. |
