GLASS COMPOSITION FOR ZINC OXIDE VARISTOR AND ZINC OXIDE VARISTOR

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a glass compsn. for a zinc oxide varistor and to obtain a zinc oxide varistor having superior moisture resistant load characteristic and other superior electrical characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. consisting of 90-97wt.% bismuth oxide and 3-10wt.% silicon dioxide is prepd. and 1-10 pts.wt. cobalt oxide, 1-5 pts.wt. boron oxide and 0.5-4 pts.wt. silver oxide are added to 100 pts.wt. of the compsn. to obtain a glass compsn. for a zinc oxide varistor. This glass compsn. is diffused into a zinc oxide-based sintered body to obtain a zinc oxide varistor.
