PURPOSE:To prevent the line pressure of a hydraulic control circuit from excessively rising when corrected and controlled to properly adjust a transmission status such as a transmission time during transmitting an automatic transmission by correcting and controlling the line pressure if a secular change or the like occurs. CONSTITUTION:A control unit consists of a transmission line pressure control means 22 which corrects line pressure during transmission in accordance with a comparison between the actual value and the target value of a parameter with reference to a transmission status, a transmission engine power control means 24 which lowers engine power during transmission, and a control adjusting means 26 which limits the correction in the direction of line pressure rise and corrects the amount of engine power lowered in the direction of restraining the shift of the parameter under correction limit.
